Beginner’s guide to Low Carb & Intermittent Fasting

WHAT IS LCIF?
Basically this diet is simple:
DON’T EAT RICE, BREAD AND PASTA.

Eat MEAT, SEAFOOD AND EGGS.

It’s been almost a year since I decided to stop eating rice. I didn’t completely lose weight because I couldn’t convince myself to stop consuming dairy food/drinks. However, I didn’t want to discredit myself for being able to avoid rice for months now. I guess, one step at a time.

Rice is an essential for me. I can eat one fried chicken as long as I have at least 2 cups of rice. I can even eat 3-4 cups of rice whenever we eat at a buffet! Craaaazy, right? That’s why when I finally had the courage to stop eating rice, I was so friggin proud of myself. I wasn’t happy with how bloated I always feel whenever I eat and exercise wasn’t and still isn’t something I enjoy doing so I decided to give LCIF a try. I started LCIF not to become thin. I did it to feel good about myself. At first it was hard. I would often feel grumpy and hungry all the time. I’m a big fan of sweets so I made sure not to deprive myself of it. I know it’s wrong to cheat but I was taking it one step at a time.

This quarantine, I’ve been eating unhealthy AGAIN. I even tried eating rice again for a week but I felt like a complete shit again every after meal so I’ve been trying to control myself again. I’m gonna start doing LCIF again so to remind myself of the things I need to do again, I made this blog post.

Anyway, I’m here to share the basic guide to LCIF. Feel free to save it on your phone or even share it to your friends! This is the basics. If you need a more detailed one, please join the group on Facebook!

Also, if you’re a beginner, you’re not supposed to do IF right away. Start with Low Carb and eventually you wouldn’t even notice that you’re already doing it.

For fasting, I recommend using Zero app to track your fasting hours. Note that you can start your fasting ANYTIME. The time I provided on the infographic that I made are MY usual time.

If you fall, don’t hesitate to stand back up! Don’t stress about it too much! You can always do better tomorrow.
